DPS 2018 Speaker Announcement – Raj Pochiraju, Principal Program Manager from Microsoft

Who is Raj Pochiraju?

Raj Pochiraju works at Microsoft in Azure Data team and is primarily responsible for enabling seamless migrations to Azure Data platforms through tools and services. Recently released Azure Database Migration Service, a fully manager service, that help customers to accelerate transition to cloud.

In his past, Raj has managed several proactive offerings that Microsoft delivers to premier customers, mainly, RAP as a Service, Microsoft’s flagship cloud offering, was delivered for little more than 2,000 customers last FY, assessed more than 6,000 SQL Server instances worldwide, proactively diagnose potential issues and provide comprehensive remediation plan.

From 2004 – 2008, Raj worked as SQL Server PFE in US –Central region, providing onsite, reactive and proactive assistance to hundreds of Microsoft’s premier customers. Before that he worked in eGain Communications, as team lead for Database Administration team, responsible for more than 200 SQL Server instances running eGain CRM product suite, serving several hosting customers.

Raj Pochiraju is also a prominent speaker @SQL PASS, Techsummit and //build conferences. He has received US- Patent Award on “Database Management System Risk Assessment Program” and holds a Masters in Computer Science and Bachelor of Sciences in Statistics
